Important Documents:

Please read the documents below carefully as they set out the terms in which we agree to act for our clients and contain details of our regulatory and statutory responsibilities. It also includes some important information and definitions relating to insurance contracts.

Please contact us immediately if there is anything within the documents you do not understand or which is not acceptable to you. We are happy to answer any questions and willing to explain these terms and the reasons for them.

It is important that you read through these documents before you go ahead with your decision to purchase or renew a policy.

If you are unable to download or access these documents online, please call the office and we will arrange to provide these to you free of charge – by email or post.

Complaints:
If you are unhappy with our service we have a complaints procedure, details of which are available on request (To submit a complaint, please contact Stephen Cadman at our office or call us on 01706 824023). You may be able to refer a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) if you are unhappy with how we deal with your complaint. The FOS website is www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk.

Auto Renewal Protection:

As mentioned in our Terms of Business the policies we arrange are usually for a period of 12 months and annually renewable thereafter.

We understand that our clients want the ‘best deal’ and we will endeavour to ensure that the renewal terms offered by your existing insurer remains to be competitive offering the best value (taking into account the total cost of renewal, financial security of the insurer, the extent of the policy cover, the speed and flexibility of dealing with queries but most importantly the fairness and reliability of the claims service) or we may offer an alternative and you will agree with our recommendation.

However, we also understand that on occasions Insurance is the last thing on people’s minds and a renewal can often be missed. We believe that our clients remaining to be protected is vital and where possible the policies we arrange on your behalf will auto-renew unless you instruct us to the contrary. Our renewal letters will make reference to this.

If you do not wish to take advantage of the auto renewal protection you can easily opt out at any time by either: –

  1. calling into our office in person.
  2. telephone – using our main office number 01706824023 which is usually answered immediately.
  3. email to enquiries@munro-greenhalgh.co.uk.


IMPORTANT: Should you decide to opt out of the auto renewal of your policy it is your responsibility to ensure that cover continues after the expiry date – either with us or elsewhere otherwise you may not have the adequate/relevant insurance in place.
