“Why is an insurance broker like Munro Greenhalgh using a safety pin in its marketing?”
Good question!
If your business has received a hand delivered leaflet featuring a safety pin or you have seen it in our social media ramblings – good: we have got your attention!
The safety pin is (literally) a hook devised to represent what we do and how we do it. Let us explain: –
A safety pin is an iconic device, designed with a covering clasp to shield its user from risk. Safety means: security, protection, cover, defence, safeguard, shelter – all words synonymous with insurance. Insurance provides protection against a possible eventuality – It is a precaution and peace of mind.
So, we haven’t just used it on a whim! No – and here are some more reasons why we are using a safety pin to symbolise Munro Greenhalgh:
• when worn is a symbol of someone you can talk to (advice)
• when used on a nappy – it stops leakage of unwanted substances ! (organisation)
• is seen as a source of good luck
• Ukrainians use pins as a way to ward off evil spirits
• PIN – Personal Identification Number – becomes your Personal Insurance Number = 01706 824023
