Another national award for our independent insurance brokerage as Munro-Greenhalgh celebrates 100 years in business. We’re delighted to announce that Munro-Greenhalgh Ltd has been named Insurance Broker – The North at the UK Broker Awards 2026, organised by Insurance Age.
The award was presented at a ceremony held at The Vox in Birmingham, recognising excellence within the UK insurance broking industry.
For our team in Ramsbottom, Bury, this is another fantastic achievement and particularly special as we celebrate our 100th anniversary in 2026.
This latest success follows our earlier triumph at the British Insurance Awards 2026, where Munro-Greenhalgh was crowned Small Broker of the Year.
To receive two prestigious industry awards in our centenary year is something we’re incredibly proud of.
These awards recognise the qualities we’ve worked hard to maintain over generations: independent advice, technical insurance expertise, strong client relationships and a genuine commitment to personal service. While the insurance industry has changed enormously since our business began in 1926, our approach remains much the same. We believe that clients deserve to speak to experienced people who understand their businesses, provide straightforward advice and are there to help when things go wrong.
Based in Ramsbottom, near Bury, Munro-Greenhalgh provides commercial insurance advice to businesses throughout Bury, Bolton, Rochdale, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and across the UK. Our clients range from small local businesses to larger, more complex commercial organisations operating in sectors including construction, manufacturing, engineering, property, motor trade and professional services.
We believe that personal relationships still matter. Our clients can speak directly to experienced members of our team rather than navigating call centres or dealing with someone different every time they contact us.

Awards are wonderful, but the real credit belongs to our people. Our team of 11 has more than 250 years of combined insurance industry experience, and many colleagues have spent a significant part of their careers with Munro-Greenhalgh.
