Established in 1926, Munro-Greenhalgh Insurance Brokers of Ramsbottom have just entered their 100th year.
From the Great Depression, through two World Wars, the inventions of TV and the internet, and the global recession and pandemic, Munro-Greenhalgh have weathered it all!
To mark and celebrate this outstanding achievement (and raise money for Bury Hospice) we are organising a series of events during 2025, leading up to and culminating in a Centenary Ball in May 2026. Please keep a look out for these events (from an ‘Ally-Pally’ Darts Tournament to a 100-mile cycle/run challenge) and try to support at least one.
Whilst modern trends have corralled people and businesses into dehumanised internet insurance, Munros have stuck to what they know- advising and supporting face to face on the most appropriate insurances from trusted insurance providers.
Asked how he thought Munro-Greenhalgh had been so successful over the course of a whole century, Ian Hayes, Director, commented, “Great question – I think the bottom line is we care. We have so many stories of being called out at all hours and in all weather conditions to help secure our clients’ property from fire, flood, accidental damage, etc. And we listen, which is incredibly important when providing bespoke customer service. But also, I have to add that we have been fortunate to have such dedicated staff over the years – I think we presently have over 400 years in the business between us! So, this is also an opportunity to thank our customers – we make it our business to understand your business and will keep doing so!”
